Travel Weary

After more than 36 hours of travel over three flights, and seven hours of time zones, the travel is not done.
My partner Mrs. Haas and I have to now travel to our teaching destination in Agadir, and it looks like bus is our best option.
Oh my.

Those of you who traveled to the Yucatan Peninsula with me on the bus might remember the nifty shades of green I turned.

  1. After 36 hours of traveling, I'm sure anybody would have been tired. And I laughed so hard once I read the shades of green part! I remember going to New York on a Red Eye got me tired, I could only imagine what that was like.

  3. I would've been pretty weary myself, as I'm not a big fan of long traveling hours. In Spanish class, we've learned about vocabulary for travel, mainly travel by airplane and airport terms. Except for your "nifty shades of green", I hope the journey was just as fun as the destination.

  4. I completely understand where you're coming from, other than the shades of green part haha. Last year I was flying to Boston and my flight was delayed 3 times in Arizona, and then when I got there they were out of rental cars and we had to take the bus for an hour to get to where we wanted to go. This also reminded me of the travel vocab that we learned in Spanish which was probably my least favorite vocab unit to be honest.

  5. Time change and jet lag are not easy things things to get past. I know the feeling after a 10 hour flight, 16 hour boat ride, and 13 hour train ride of just how tired one person can be.

  6. Whenever I go on a long flight the hardest part to me is the day and night situation, like when I went to Hawaii. We left Arizona at around 3:00 P.M. and got in at 6:00 P.M. there time and after a 6 hour long flight our entire family was very tired. Luckily we found a car and all of our bags instead of having to take a bus to our condo. I would never like to use a bus after a long flight like that, especially if I was in a different country, good thing I know know how to say thing relating to travel in Spanish so I could actually get around if I had to.

  7. Travelling is great and always a fun experience but I believe we can all agree that the jet lag and the endless flights are not very fun. I've never had to travel quite as far as you but I'm sure that it must be difficult!
